On September 4, 1978, Anna University was established as a single, undivided university. The late Dr. C.N. Annadurai, a former Tamil Nadu prime minister, is honoured by the university’s name, offers advanced courses in building, engineering, technology, and Applied sciences customized to meet community and present needs. Otherwise, foster cooperation between the academic and industrial groups in order to advance research and spread knowledge. By uniting all of the engineering institutions in the Tamil Nadu area, Anna University was reestablished in 2001 as a sort of university. In 2010, he was reinstated once more as a unit.
